As we edge closer and closer to the end of another year, I can’t help but look forward to what’s coming next. A new year means new opportunities, new plans, and new strategies. A new year brings a fresh start, at least hypothetically. And I get excited about all of those things.

So, to get ready for the new, I’m taking the rest of the year off from writing. I’m going to spend lots of time with my family. I’m going to rest and relax. And I’m going to think of new ways to serve small town pastors better in 2020.

Here are a few things I know I’ll be doing:

• One-on-One Coaching – I’ve had the opportunity to coach a hand full of pastors this year, and it’s been a great experience. I love getting to hear a pastor’s heart for their church, and then helping them find a way to accomplish their vision. It’s awesome. If you’re interested in coaching please reach out to me as soon as possible.

• Small Town Pastor Mastermind Group – Sometimes the best way to learn is with others. Beginning in January, I’ll be facilitating a group of small town pastors who are looking to grow healthy churches. We’ll work together to tackle the issues you’re facing, and put plans in places to help you accomplish your goals. This group will be limited to ten pastors, and you’re the first to hear about it. • XP Mastermind Group – Also in January, I’ll be partnering with my friend Brett Bixby of Bridgewater Church to facilitate a group of XP’s who are leading in churches of 500+ people. Last year Bridgewater Church was one of the top 100 fastest growing churches in America and all of their campuses are in small towns. It’s an incredible story. Again space is limited to ten XP’s, so if that’s you, make sure to reply to this email for the details.

• Small Town Big Church Membership – This past summer, my friend Jon Sanders and I started a membership site just for small town pastors. We’re creating video content, we’re providing resources, and we have a community of pastors working together to grow healthy churches. If you’d like to be a part of it, you need to get on the waiting list now. We start taking new members in January.

I’ll also be continuing to blog each and every week, and I’ll continue to be the Executive Pastor of Strong Tower Church, as long as they’ll let me. I’d love to hear about what you have going on for next year, so don’t hesitate to send me a message and say hi.
